"Pride of Piedmont" Marching Band

The “Pride of Piedmont” Marching Band is an ensemble that meets starting in early August or late July, running through the end of the competitive marching season in mid-late October and the end of football season in November. The Pride supports the football program at all home games, and most away games, and maintains a busy competitive schedule of its own.

The Pride has won the Oklahoma Bandmasters’ Association championship in Class 4A for 6 straight years, and won two additional titles at the 1A-2A-3A level in 2001 and 2003. The Pride has also finished 2nd in the overall 4A-5A OBA contest in three of the last five years.

Beginning with the 2007 marching season, the band started competing at a regional and national level at the Bands of America Super Regional competition, held at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, MO. The band won the Outstanding Musical Performance award for Class A, and placed third in class overall. In 2008, the Pride was named the BOA St. Louis Class A Champion, winning class awards for outstanding musical performance and outstanding general effect. The Pride again placed 3rd in Class A in 2009.
