Symphonic Band

The Symphonic Band is directed by Mr. Anderson. It includes all 8th graders, as well as high school students who are not selected for the wind ensemble. This ensemble has been rapidly improving since its inception in 2003, and plays quality literature that can also help in developing skills to the point that some members are ready to join the Wind Ensemble. The Symphonic Band plays a mix of literature aimed at developing basic playing skills, and more advanced literature designed to challenge the group. Morning sectional time is required at various times during the year, as well as occasional out-of-school rehearsals. These events will be announced well in advance. Symphonic Band meets 1st hour, from 8:10 – 8:59 am.
